SIM-RMIT BDCD 18 Graduation Showcase 2020: Results May Vary – Outstanding Design for Digital

Emotional suppression is a big issue in today’s hectic society. The need to “suck it up” and “tough it out” will bring about negative impacts on our mental and physical health, and all because our fast-paced lifestyles dictate that showing emotions is a sign of weakness and a hindrance to progress.
We all feel, inevitably. Emotions are what makes us human and it is important that we are aware of what we are feeling on a regular basis in order to be able to come to terms with something as involuntary and complicated as our emotions. By taking time out of our day to document, we are giving ourselves some much-needed time to meditate and self-reflect.
HOWRU? is an app tracking day-to-day emotions. Navigating through the negative impacts of emotional suppression, HOWRU? aims to help the user be conscious of their moods and emotions in a day, and thereafter act to improve if the data is telling a worrying story.
